Membership terms

1. About the club

Actually Social is a women's social club operating a membership programme and hosted events in New Zealand and Australia. It is operated by LESGO Technology Pty Ltd.

Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to join. Actually Social is a club for women, and by joining you confirm you identify as a woman. Trans and non-binary members who feel at home in a women's space are welcome.

We may decline or end a membership where a member's conduct is inconsistent with these terms.

3. Membership and billing

Membership is a rolling monthly subscription charged in advance to your nominated payment method. New Zealand memberships are billed in NZD and are GST inclusive; Australian memberships are billed in AUD and are GST inclusive.

Prices shown at the time you join apply to your membership while it stays active. If we change pricing we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it affects you.

If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend access to events until the membership is up to date.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel any time from your member dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to events until then.

Membership fees already charged are not refundable except where required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), the Australian Consumer Law, or other applicable law.

5. Events, RSVPs and no-shows

Events are capped and RSVPs are allocated on a first-come basis, with a waitlist when an event is full.

Some events carry an additional cost payable to us or directly to the venue. That cost is always disclosed before you RSVP.

Please cancel an RSVP at least 48 hours before the event start time so the seat can be released. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may attract a no-show fee of up to NZ$10 (or the local equivalent), charged to your payment method.

We may change or cancel an event where a venue, host or safety issue requires it. Where an event with an additional paid ticket is cancelled by us, that ticket amount is refunded.

6. Conduct and safety

Members agree to treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intoxicated or unsafe behaviour, recruiting, selling or pitching to members, and sharing another member's personal details without consent are all grounds for immediate removal without refund.

What members share in the room stays in the room. Please ask before photographing or posting other members.

7. Your responsibility at events

You attend events voluntarily and are responsible for your own safety, belongings, transport, and any activity you choose to take part in. Where an event involves physical activity, you confirm you are fit to participate.

To the extent permitted by law, Actually Social is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your attendance at an event or your use of the club.

8. Privacy

We collect the information needed to run your membership and events. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects you we'll let you know by email before it takes effect, and continuing your membership means you accept the updated terms.
